Specialized public database, bringing more than 250 scanned documents or photographs of objects illustrating the life, work, political and spiritual career of Cardinal Fürstenberg, his collecting and patronage. These documents will be labelled to enable filtering (based on type of source, content characteristics, etc.). Other documents made available here will come from archbishop's, dean's and parish offices in the territory of the Olomouc Archdiocese and will present users with the form and content of typical documents of church administration. The depictions of written, pictorial and material sources will be accompanied by texts on their origin, creators and significance in a broader context. Examples of written documents (e.g. building plans, personal documents, correspondence, chronicle records, election chapters, pastoral letters, minutes of consistory meetings, etc.) will be accompanied by transcriptions (and opportunities for users to try out the transliteration of the document in practice), regests (or translations), and a broader explanation of the form and content of each document.
Estimated year of full operation of the database: 2027
The database is one of the outputs of the project "Friedrich Cardinal von Fürstenberg: the Last Aristocrat on the See of the Archbishops of Olomouc".
